<h2>Conception</h2>
<p>Conceived during 2020 when so many groups (schools, clubs, etc...) were moving online, Group Consent aims to provide tools for those groups to better support their EU legal obligations to respect the privacy and data sharing wishes of group members.</p>
<h2>Purpose</h2>
<p>Launched in January 2021, Group Consent provides tools to organisations to setup groups and allow group members to easily record their consent for how their personal information is used. Group Consent can be used for both in-person and virtual groups where information such as contact info, photos or other data is stored or shared via web sites or social media.</p>
<p>In the case were group members are minors (such as school classes or sports clubs), Group Consent can be used to record their wishes via their parents or legal guardians.</p>
